Located in March, Fossils Galore has tons of activities on offer from dinosaur hunts, fossil dogs, and gold panning. This museum has truly beautiful displays of fossils and geodes, as well as a lot of hands-on activities for little ones. You can also watch scientists working in the lab on fossils from all over the world and different eras of history. You might see an ice age animal or sea-dwelling dinosaur! There are also arts and crafts available, and plenty of seasonal activities.
The beautiful Sacrewell farm offers the chance to explore history, food and farming in the idyllic Cambridgeshire countryside. With lots of animals to meet and places inside and out to explore, it’s a great place to visit for the young and old. There are always great activities running on a daily or seasonal basis.
To celebrate A. A. Milne’s birthday, they are hosting a Winnie-the-Pooh weekend running the 20-21st January! With the chance to build a house for Eeyore, hunt Woozles, or hear stories from Piglet, it’s sure to be a magical weekend.
Hamerton Zoo Park
From tigers to tortoises, camels to chipmunks, Hamerton Zoo is home to hundreds of exciting and beautiful animals. They have a play area for toddlers, and another for big kids, picnic areas, and train rides. There’s also a “stroll-a-safari” where you can visit and feed the domestic animals in the zoo. They also will be opening their new entrance building in 2018 featuring an indoor children’s play barn, so keep your eyes peeled!
