Fun Indoor activities with kids

Summer holidays are fast approaching and that surely means a few days where it pours down and the kids complain they’re bored. Don’t fret, have a look at our top 20 fun indoor activities with the kids.

  • Make an indoor treasure hunt
  • Make an obstacle course by tying string round the room (laser style) and clamber through not touching it
  • Bake a cake/cookies/dinner
  • Build a den and enjoy a midnight (8pm) feast
  • Create a scrapbook out of all the old tickets you have lying around the house
  • Read, read and then read a bit more
  • Play cards, snap, top trumps, blackjack, they can all be great learning opportunities
  • Make an “all about me” collage out of old magazines and cards
  • Create a marble run out of old toilet/kitchen rolls
  • Have a movie night with popcorn, cosy cushions and let them choose the film
  • Make friendship bracelets for the return to school (check out Youtube for old style tutorials)
  • Play dress up, what costumes can you create from what you have in your wardrobe?
  • Have a game of hide a seek
  • Make up some dance routines to your favourite songs (no one’s watching!)
  • Let kids loose with your camera phone and teach them how to take the perfect picture
