Family Friendly Hotels in England
London
London is of course one of my very favourite cities to visit with Piper but my goodness can it get expensive! If you actually visit over the weekend and stay in the financial district you can still bag a deal. We loved the rather quirky Indigo Hotel at Tower bridge. Have a look at our Hotel Indigo Tower Hill reviews and see if it could work for your next visit to the big city.
Cornwall
Cornwall is where I spent all my holidays as a child and it’s still one of my favourite places to take Piper. I recently found the most family friendly hotel we’ve stayed at in the area and we’re already planning on returning. The Bedruthan hotel has everything you could need to keep the whole family happy, a gorgous spa, indoor and outdoor pools, playgrounds, family sized rooms and some of the tastiest food in Cornwall. Check out why this is one of the best family hotels Cornwall has to offer.
Bristol
I love taking my daughter to Bristol, it’s such a creative city with loads of family friendly activities to keep the kids entertained. Whenever we visit the city we stay slightly out of town at the Bristol Aztec Hotel and Spa. Mainly for it’s amazing pool but it also has great food, friendly staff and super luxurious rooms.
Airport Hotels
Airport hotels have totally changed the way we travel. No more waking at the crack of dawn and fighting the traffic on the way to an early flight. No more landing late and having to fight the jet lag whilst driving home. We’ve stayed at quite a few over the past few years. The Radisson Blu manchester airport is a firm favourite.
Gatwick is probably one of my least favourite airports to travel to, it’s just a bit awkward so if we have a flight any time in the am we always stop over the night before. The Gatwick Sofitel has been the best I’ve found and we always have a great nights sleep. Have a look at our review of the Sofitel Gatwick and take the pressure off your next flight.
Family Friendly Hotels in Scotland
Scotland is a beautiful country to explore with kids, the wild and rustic scenery feels like you’ve landed on a different planet and the friendly cities will make you feel warm and welcomed. Last Christmas we enjoyed a santa break at the Macdonald Aviemore Hotel in the highlands and it was about as family focussed as it gets! Have a look at my Aviemore santa weekend review and see plenty of pic of this massive resort in Scotland.
Family Friendly Hotels in Ireland
If you’re after a completely family friendly but still totally luxurious stay in Wicklow, Ireland then we’ve found the hotel. The Druids Glen hotel is one of the most beautiful we’ve visited, lovely large rooms, a fab kids play area and fantastic family friendly pool makes this the perfect place to stay if you’re planning to take the kids to Ireland. You can check out all the Druids Glen children’s facilities in this hotel review blog.
Glamping in the UK
If your more the Glamping type then our favourite small site we’ve found has to be Glamping on the Hill in the beautiful Somerset Countryside. Have a look at this fantastic family glamping somerset review.
If you’re based further North then I highly recommend a stay at Serenity Camping near Whitby. It’s a fantastic site with absolutely excellent facilities.
