What’s the course like?
Unsurprisingly it’s all dinosaur themed with a smoking volcano, dark caves and narrow streams. It has 18 holes and each has a different dinosaur model to meet and a new shot to master. You’ll see velociraptors, a T Rex, a Spinosaurus and much more. I wouldn’t exactly call the course challenging but there are some fun angles to figure out, bridges to cross and tunnels to go through. We did lose a few balls in the foliage.

What’s the food like at Dino Park Mini Golf in Phuket
It’s surprisingly good to be honest. They offer a selection of Western and Thai dishes. If you really want to continue the dinosaur theme you can order dino burgers although I don’t think that’s the official meat source! Our kids enjoyed grilled salmon while we ordered delicious Thai curries. It’s not cheap by Thai standards but it won’t break the bank either.

If you don’t want to take part in the golf you can just enjoy a beer or meal in the restaurant. There are plenty of dinosaur themed features there too.

How much is Phuket’s Dino Park Mini Golf
A round of mini golf is around £12.50 and about £10 for kids. This includes balls, putters and a scorecard.
If you want to be sure to secure your spot then you can preorder your tickets to Dino park on Klook.

Can I just go in and watch
Yes, you can just have a wander a round the course and look at the dinosaurs if you like. Or if you’re accompanying your kids then you don’t have to actually play. Spectator tickets are around £8.
Just be warned, they are very strict about this. If you leave the course, you cannot go back in. I wanted to swap with my husband who was waiting it out in the bar as I was getting crazy hot following the kids around. Staff would not allow this and were really quiet rude.

Facilities at Phuket Dino Park Mini Golf
There’s everything you need for a few hours at Dino Park. The bar and restaurant is located just outside the course. Toilets were a good size and clean. Our daughter did get locked in the cubicle when we visited but we were able to get her out opening the lock from the outside.

Where is Dino Park Mini Golf in Phuket
Dino Park Mini Golf is located in Karon, on the west coast of Phuket Island in Thailand. It is situated on Patak Road, near the Kata-Karon Viewpoint and close to Kata Beach. The exact address is 47 Karon Road, Tambon Karon, Amphoe Mueang Phuket, Chang Wat Phuket 83100, Thailand.
Kata makes it it to the top of my list of great places to stay in Phuket with kids.

Other places to play mini golf in Phuket
If you’re staying further North and don’t fancy heading to Kata Phuket Adventure mini Golf is another good option. Located in Bangtao it also has a bar, restaurant and boules court.
So is Dino Park worth a visit?
If you’re staying in Kata or Karon or visiting these places on a day trip I would say it absolutely is. It’s a fun place to hang out for an hour or so after a day at the beach and it’s nice to treat the kids to a super kid friendly activity. Unless you’re a mini gold enthusiast or dinosaur obsessed it’s probably not worth the trip just for the golf.
