What is Jungceylon?
Jungceylon is one of the largest shopping Malls in Phuket. It is located in Patong and is a popular place for locals and tourist to do their shopping, grab some food or take part in the many entertainment options available.
The Mall went through huge renovations in 2023 and has had a rather nice spruce up. Most things are now reopened.
Jungceylon offers a tourist privileges card which you can pick up from the Bay Zone. This allows you to receive extra discounts at various shops, food and entertainment outlets. It’s worth doing as discounts range from 5 – 15% and include popular Western brands. Click here for the full list of discounts.
Jungceylon Shops
Primarily Jungceylon is a shopping Mall, it has heaps of stores from Western brands to local shops and markets. Prices here are fairly high for Thailand, Phuket is very touristy and rates reflect that.
Brands at Jungceylon
Jungceylon is home to Phukets Apple store which is great if you have any issues with your devices whilst you’re there. It’s not really cheaper than back home so probably not worth making any big purchases. You’ll also find stores such as American Eagle, Boots, Coach, Levis, Ripcurl and more.
Jungceylon Market
Located in the basement of the Jungle zone you’ll find a more market like shopping experience with small, independent vendors selling clothes, souvenirs and cheaper electronics.
Department stores at Jungceylon
The two main department stores in Jungceylon are Robinson Ocean and Big C which is a supermarket. Robinsons is Thailands most popular department stores selling designer and high end brands at reasonable prices. We picked up a great quality suitcase during our visit. Robinsons also has a pretty decent kids clothes department and an impressive toys selection so perfect if you’re shopping for kids in Phuket.
Big C sells all the food and household items you’ll need for a self catered stay in Phuket so is again well worth a visit if you’re planning on eating in.
Things to do at Jungceylon Phuket
Jungceylon is a great place to visit on a rainy day in Phuket as the majority of activities are under cover. We also like it when it’s super hot right in the middle of the day as the air con is a real treat.
Jungceylon Cinema
If you’re hoping to catch the latest movie then you’ll find them all showing at SF Cinema on the top floor. It has five screens offering all the latest movies. Most have Thai subtitles but some of these are dubbed in Thai so check before you book your tickets. There are various seating options available including two seater snuggle sofas and all the usual sweets and popcorn to add to your viewing experience.
Bowling at Jungceylon
Next to the cinema is a great bowling alley with heaps of lanes and some arcade style games. It might not be a top holiday activity but it’s a fun place to spend an hour or so before heading into town.
Note: The bowling alley is currently closed for renovations.
Jungceylon Spa
There are several massage shops and Spas at Jungceylon. A lot of then are the usual walk in legs massage joints and are pretty well priced. The largest is Pimnara Spa located above the Macdonalds. It’s a bit fancier than the others and part of the Pimnara Boutique hotel. They offer treatments like facials and nails in a clean, modern environment.
Art at Jungceylon
The shopping mall has various small art installations which change regularly. I’t not as glamorous at Iconsiam in Bangkok but it is fun to wander around, taking it all in.
The fountain show
There is a daily water and light show in the outdoor space in front of the fake Chinese junk boat. It’s pretty but not spectacular. Worth walking past but not going out of your way to watch.
Great kids activities at Jungceylon
Our kids absolutely loved their trip to Jungceylon. It’s very child friend and they enjoyed a mooch around the shops and spending their holiday Baht on the various available activities.
Froggys Fun Park
Has pretty much everything you need to entertain the kids for a few hours. We were visiting with two 12 year olds and a 9 year old and they still loved the kiddie rides. They have a great trampoline park, VR games, a mirror maze, rides, arcade games and toddler specific activities.
It’s not cheap by Thai standards but a good place to allow the kids to let off a bit of steam. Have a read of my posts on things to do in Phuket with family to discover heaps more activities.
Jungceylon Restaurants
If you’re wondering where to eat at Jungceylon you have plenty of options. Home to over 30 restaurants, many of which are Western fast food style options. Perfect if you want to treat the kids to something they may recognise from home. You’ll find Macdonalds, Burger King, Dunkin donuts, Haagen Dazs, KFC, Starbucks, Pizza Hut and much more.
If you fancy a slower paced sit down meal then you’ll find outlets for every food type imaginable. There are sushi restaurants, Thai, Japanese, french brasseries and even those dedicated to wine. The Irish pub went down a treat with my husband, it’s a good place to leave anyone who doesn’t fancy a shopping trip. We also love the look of Why Not Jungceylon Restaurant, it’s colourful, super family friendly and serves delicious food.
Jungceylon Food Court
The food court at Jungceylon is located underground. It’s home to heaps of outlets offering fast food and snacks. The Thai options are great here and also pretty good value.
Jungceylon Opening Times
Jungceylon opening hours are everyday from 11 am until 10 pm. It’s a good place to escape to during the heat of the late afternoon.
Where is Jungceylon Phuket
Jungceylon is located in the centre of Patong, opposite the inland side of Bangla Walking Street. If you’re staying in Patong then walk down Bangla, cross over the main road and you’ll be there.
Patong is on the west coast of Phuket. All taxis and Tuk Tuks will know how to get there from all over Phuket. Just be sure to agree your fare up front.
If you want to visit Jungceylon but don’t fancy staying in Patong have a look at these other areas to stay in Phuket.
Jungceylon facilities
You’ll find plenty of clean toilets all around jungceylon shopping centre. The whole place is very well air conditioned and they even have free charging facilities for your devices. Perfect if you left your adapter at home.
Great hotels near Jungceylon Phuket
Both the 5 star M Social Phuket and the smaller Pimnara boutique hotel are located within Jungceylon Mall. For me the M Social is the best hotel near Jungceylon Phuket as it has a great rooftop pool and massive rooms, plenty big enough for larger families. They even come with you very own AI room asistant!
We were staying at the Diamond Cliff resort on the outskirts of Patong. It took us around half an hour to walk to Jungceylon along the beach road and about 20 minutes back in a taxi.

Other options for shopping in Patong
Phuket is a Western shopaholic’s dream and Patong is home to pretty much everything you would want to shop for. As mentioned, you will find the big brands in Jungceylon but there’s also Central Patong, a great department store, just across the road.
Whilst I love a high end shop, I’m happiest getting great deals from local markets. Patong is home to several brilliant markets. My favourites include Malin Plaza and OTOP market. If you’re after knock offs, head to the top of Bangla Road and get ready for some heavy negotiation.
