The food is amazing and ranges from dirt cheap street food to world class fine dining. You’re unlikely to have much down time spent in a hotel but when you do you’ll want to make sure it’s as family friendly as possible, offering as much to keep the kids entertained as well as providing a much needed break for the grown ups. How to book a great hotel in Bangkok with a kids club
Just as a heads up on my process on booking great hotels with kids clubs. I will always start with a google search to make a shortlist. I then search up the hotels and read reviews on Tripadvisor. You can apply a filter for those traveling as families which always gives me a heads up on any special features for kids. I can also do a quick price comparison on Tripadvisor for the dates I am interested in. Then I check prices for the dates on Booking.com or Hotels.com to see if there are any special deals for when I am logged in which won’t show up on comparison sites. If I’m looking for a hotel in Asia then it’s always worth checking Agoda, I find them to be the best value.
Why chose a Bangkok hotel with a kids club
Kids clubs can be a bit hit and miss, sometimes they are wonderful and keep the kids entertained for hours, sometimes they’re basically just glorified babysitting facilities. You want to find one that is open for a decent amount of hours each day and runs organised activities to keep the kids entertained. Hopefully this will mean you can squeeze in a quick massage or relax by the pool safe in the knowledge that the little ones are as happy as you are.
I always find that a good kids club means that the hotel in general is well set up to welcome families and will often provide other kid friendly perks. They will have the best kids menus, good sized rooms and won’t mind some enthusiastic splashing in the pool.
Fantastic Bangkok hotels with kids club
The Peninsula
I have to start with the biggy and one of the best places to stay in Bangkok whether you’re traveling with kids or not. The Peninsula is an absolutely gorgeous hotel in a great location by the river.
Special features for kids at The Peninsula Bangkok
The Peninsula hotel is incredibly family friendly, so much so I’m sure the kids wont want to leave. The pool will be a real highlight and the hotel provides inflatables for the kids to play on. There are plenty of kid friendly amenities in the room including cribs, sterilisers and toiletry packs with nappies if you require them. All rooms have bathtubs and are beautifully designed. They also have high chairs in the restaurants and a complimentary shuttle boat, delightfully adorned with fairy lights, to get you easily to the BTS. You can also get a free shuttle boat to nearby Asiatique outdoor shopping mall where you’ll find Bangkoks Big Wheel, the Disney 100 village and some fabulous restaurants.
Families of three will easily fit in most of the rooms although if you’re a group of four or over you’ll need to book a suite. Or you can book interconnecting rooms. Each restaurants will be happy to tailor food to your kids preferences – just tell them if they like less spicy or plain.
The kids club at the Peninsula Bangkok
Whilst they don’t have a traditional kids club where you can leave little ones for the day, the hotel runs the Peninsula academy which has excellent lessons for kids and grown ups. Popular activities include the junior chef program where kids between 6 and 11 can learn how to cook family favourites such as pizzas and brownies and the Thai painting class for those who want to learn something a bit more creative. Both sessions are an additional charge.
They do offer a babysitting service for a charge if you want to spend some time in the spa.
Ramada Plaza Wyndham
One of the best value Bangkok hotels with kids club is the Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Grand Menam hotel in Riverside. You can read about our stay at this family friendly riverside hotel for more details on the property and service.
Special features for kids at the Ramada Menam Riverside Hotel
The pool at the Ramada makes you feel like you’re on an island holiday rather than in the middle of one of the worlds busiest city. It’s surrounded with lush greenery and has a very cool drinks and snack bar. The pool itself is vibrant blue with plenty of space to splash. There is a huge variety of rooms available in seemingly all sizes and configurations so you’re bound to find something to fit your family.

The Ocean kids club located right next to the pool has a variety of child friendly activities such as board games and colouring and movies for most ages. This is definitely one of the best value Bangkok hotels with kids club. Our room was just £65 per night.
Millennium Hilton Bangkok
If you enjoy some high end shopping then the best family friendly Bangkok hotel for you will be the Millennium Hilton. Located right next to the fabulous IconSiam shopping mall and right on the river means there’s loads to do around the hotel.
Special features for kids at the Millennium Hilton Bangkok
This is an absolutely stunning hotel but it doesn’t feel too stuffy for kids. Hotel staff are incredibly welcoming and will try to make sure you have the best family holiday in Bangkok as possible. The hotel has a sweet outdoor play area with swings and slides. The hotel has several great restaurants and they will often run kids eat free promotions. The pool area is nicknamed “the beach” as the combination of infinity pool and river almost feels like you’re at the seaside. Most rooms will sleep 3 – 4 people. This means no having to double book rooms or upgrade to a suite to squeeze the family in.

You’ll find the kids zone on the second floor of the hotel which is home to heaps of games, movies and activities to keep all ages entertained. Babysitters can also be hired for an additional charge.
Anantara Riverside
I absolutely love Anantara hotels and have stayed at them in Bangkok, Phuket and Koh Samui. They’re always super luxurious and very family friendly. That’s why two of them have made it into my list of the best Bangkok hotels with kids club.
First up is their Riverside property which feels like a perfect oasis of calm in the middle of the hectic city. The pool is surrounded by lush greenery. It’s likely to be your kids favourite part of the hotel. The stunning decor is traditional Thai with all the modern features you’d expect from the 5 star chain.
Special features for kids at The Anantara Riverside
As mentioned, kids will love the pool space and surrounding gardens but also the many places to eat in the hotel. Several of the restaurants serve western food and have excellent kids menus. The hotel has an onsite tennis court and runs several classes each day. You can try Muay Thai, Tai Chi or yoga or take part in a cookery class. Kids can even follow the Thai tradition of feeding fish for good luck in the canal which runs through the hotels grounds.

The Chang Noi kids club is a bright and welcoming space for kids to stay, play and make new friends during their time at the hotel. They have a brilliant schedule of event to keep the kids entertained and staff are all brilliantly friendly. Little ones can try various arts and crafts projects, watch DVDs, read books, play with puzzles and soft toys and more
Anantara Siam
Whilst the Anantara Riverside is located on the river a bit further away from the main sights and sounds of Bangkok, their Siam property is right next to luxurious shopping malls and steps from the BTS. Again is beautiful, welcoming and feels incredibly luxurious.
Special features for kids at The Anantara Siam
The Anantara Siam has another brilliant swimming pool which is plenty big enough for the kids to have a good splash. There’s a fab little playground right next to the pool with a slide and swings. They run spice spoons, an onsite cooking class and also kids boxing classes at the gym. Should you fancy an evening out, the hotel also offers a babysitting service.

The Anantara Siam kids club is packed full of interesting activities to keep the kids entertained. They have model train sets, a play kitchen and heaps of toys and books. The little ones will love it! Staff are fully trained and extremely welcoming.
Mandarin Oriental Bangkok
Yet another extremely luxurious hotel on the river that will absolutely spoil your kids rotten is the Mandarin Oriental. I’m sure the luxurious reputation of the Mandarin Oriental brand needs no introduction but did you know that it’s also brilliant for kids?!
Special features for kids at The Mandarin Oriental Bangkok
This hotel has so much to entertain the kids during your stay you’re at risk of missing out on exploring the city. It’s probably a good option if you want complete relaxation during your family trip to Bangkok. They have two pools, one with a shallow pool perfect for non-swimmers and little legs. All of the onsite restaurants have kids menus and high chairs available. Babysitters can be hired if you fancy a night out. Or you could send your child for one on one tennis coaching. Kids can take part in child friendly Thai cooking classes, yoga sessions and even Thai language lessons.
The kids club at the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok
I think the Sanook Sanook kids club at the Mandarin Oriental is the best kids club in Bangkok. They have heaps of organised activities, all run by highly “Kid’s Coordinators”. It’s available for ages 3 to 14 and is home to books and board games, Playstations, Nintendos and Xboxes. They have a wealth of craft activities available and plenty of movies to choose from. There is a small additional fee to use the kids club. This really is one of the best Bangkok hotels with kids club for complete luxury.
Novotel Bangkok on Siam Square
Also located in Siam is the lovely Novotel Siam Square. This is probably one of the best value hotels on the list. It’s 4 star but still feels like a gorgeous place to escape to after a day exploring the city.
Special features for kids at the Novotel Bangkok Siam Square
Kids are more than welcome at the Novotel Bangkok. They host several classes aimed entirely at their younger guests. You can try origami making, cooking and cookie decorating and even get behind the bar to create some delicious mocktails. The hotel has a great pool which has a wading area shallow enough for the smaller kids. Unusually for Bangkok, kids up to the age of 16 stay free in their parents room. This is great if you’re on a budget family holiday to Bangkok.
The kids club at the Novotel Bangkok
Whilst not a traditional kids club, the Novotel offers the kids corner in the lobby. It has an Xbox, plenty of games, movies and board games.
Shangri La Bangkok
Another super luxurious hotel on the river is the Shangri La. Rooms are absolutely huge, the food is exceptional and there is heaps to do around the hotel.

Kids will love their stay at the Shangri La, they really do try to make their stay as fun as possible. They have a special weekend kids dining experience which offers a huge family friendly spread. There’s a special kids corner, extensive kids menu and little ones can even create their own pancakes! Kids will also love the onsite chocolate boutique, the amazing riverside pool and onsite tennis court.

Although the Shangri La doesn’t have a traditional kids club, they run heaps of family friendly activities each day. This include Cooking demonstrations, Muay Thai lessons, agility training, lotus folding and mocktail classes. You can check out their schedule here. Parents will need to supervise at all times. They do offer babysitting and child care for a fee if required.
